Krittika is the 3rd Nakshatra, translating to ‘the one who cuts’. Its symbol is a knife or sharp object, representing the sharp outlook and straightforward attitude Krittika has. Being in the sign of Aries and Taurus, Krittika is known to be quite headstrong with their motivation and beliefs. They are highly driven to reach their goals and go towards a certain perfection in what they do, preferring to work in a certain way or order. Similar to their name Krittika, they are known to be stubborn with strong opinions. They have a 'critical' approach, but with the aim of striving others towards betterment, more so, towards their view of perfection.

Deity: The Deity Agni is the God of fire. He was known as the mouth of the Gods and heavens, described to have two heads and seven tongues. One of his heads was known to face the earth, the other head was known to face the heavens. His two heads and seven tongues show Krittika has many desires, some of which are towards the material earth which fulfills their senses, and the other which is pure and truthful, fulfilling their desire to purify and eliminate.
